Economy campervans accommodate two persons for independent travel and living. Relax on the day sofa, double or two single beds, and prepare meals while standing inside the attached awning. A double gas stove plus grill is located next to the storage cabinet and interior folding table. A mosquito net slips over the passenger window to provide fresh when all doors closed. Other items include a power cable, hanging light, kitchen set and water container.

Electrical connection is accessible when staying in New Zealand holiday parks. Simply plug in the 240 volt power cable whilst on powered camp sites. This allows you to use the supplied multi plug, hanging light, and re-charge any electrical devices you may have.

Economy and Thrifty campervans have a similar design; however Economy campervans are newer vehicles featuring a larger engine, three seat belts, a gas grill and are slightly more spacious inside.

Standard Insurance (included):
If you have an accident, you are required to pay a maximum of $1,000. You do not have to pay if it was not your fault.

Special Opiton (new) - Split Hire (multiple hire):
Hire one vehicle in the North Island with pickup and return to Auckland. Next, make your own way to Christchurch and hire another vehicle to see the South Island (or vice versa). We calculate the price as a single hire and you only pay for the days you use. You also only pay once for any optional extras such as the zero insurance waiver or table and chair hire. You still receive long term hire discounts, save on the ferry crossing, and there is no one way fee. The minimum hire period for each island is seven days. Click here if you would like a split hire.

Zero Excess (optional): $15 per day or maximum of $280 per hire
If you have an accident, you do not have to pay anything. This also covers tyre punctures.
